The profession
Are you interested in mechanics, do you have manual skills and are you enthusiastic about modern technology? Then an industrial mechanic apprenticeship will fit the bill! Industrial mechanics are responsible for maintaining and restoring the operational readiness of systems and machines so that production processes run smoothly. They learn how to maintain, repair and adapt the equipment to changing conditions. So industrial mechanics make sure that all machines are running. In order for the machines, pumps, compressors and gearboxes to work together perfectly, you have to have a lot of things under control, including in your mind of course.
The vocational school is located in Brake. The apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic takes 3.5 years. The apprenticeship period can be shortened to three years if you perform particularly well. If you are also motivated after the apprenticeship and successfully complete it, we will foster and support you in your future career. During your apprenticeship, you will be paid a gross apprenticeship salary of around EUR 1,100.
Requirements
We expect you to have good grades in the subjects of physics, mathematics and technology with a Realschule certificate or a very good Hauptschule certificate. Interest and fun in dealing with the latest technology is a prerequisite, as well as an understanding of technical and theoretical relationships.
